A Million To One - Written by Paul Stanley and Vinnie Vincent for "Lick It Up," this song continued the then new trend of including a power ballad on KISS albums. Paul performed this song live on his 2006/7 "Live To Win" tour.
Ain't None Of Your Business - Initially released on Wendy O. Williams' Gene Simmons produced "WOW" album in 1984. This song has so far appeared on two further Wendy O. William's albums, in LIVE format. Written by Simmons/Carr/Vincent.
All Hell's Breakin' Loose - Primarily Eric Carr's creation. According to Eric, "Once again in Eric Carr fashion the music track that you hear on that song is exactly what I wrote. When I brought it to the band I was expecting 'Kashmir!' And then I hear it was gonna be like a funk tune... I'm going, 'Oh my God, what are you doing to my song!?' But what happened with that was I brought it to the band. Gene started working on it first, on lyrics 'cause he really liked it. He wasn't coming up with anything that was really worthwhile. Rather than ditch the song Paul and Vinnie took over. And they came up with a working thing for it" (KISS Neon Glow #1, 1992).
All Or Nothing - Song from Felix Cavaliere's 1979 album, "Castles in the Air," on which Vinnie played guitar. Written by Cavaliere.
And On The 8th Day - Essentially this "Lick It Up" song was constructed by Gene and Vinnie using parts of the original Warrior demo of "Boyz Are Gonna Rock." What would be retained from Vinnie's original demo was minimal though the verse riff was kept.
Ashes To Ashes - From "All Systems Go," this song uses a backwards-masked intro from Kuni's "Memories of You" which had been released on the Dana Strum produced "Lookin' For Action" (Polydor, 1988). Singing on both the Kuni and VVI albums was one Jeff Scott Soto whose services Vinnie would later utilize for a demo tape...

Back On The Streets - Written by Vinnie and Richie Friedman in 1981. Vinnie had worked at Richie's guitar store, WeBuyGuitars, who also counted among its customers one Paul Frehley. The song was demoed for "Creatures Of The Night" because the producer liked the song and thought that it could be a hit for the band. It was eventually dropped for legal reasons, though it also directly competing with Paul's co-written ballad, "I Still Love You," and did not sit well with the overall tone of the album. According to Vinnie, "I asked Gene why we didn't do that song. He said that Paul didn't think he sang it that well” (Strike #38). Vinnie, on the other hand, liked the recording. The song saw release by the band 3 Speed in 1984 for the "Voyage Of The Rock Aliens" movie soundtrack. Frehley's Comet also demoed the song and had it as part of their live set in 1984/5.
Betrayed - One of the earliest songs written together by Paul Stanley and Vinnie Cusano. However, the song had its roots in the Warrior period of Vinnie's pre-KISStory where it had been demoed in an instrumental format. At one point the song was even considered for inclusion on the "Creatures Of The Night" album, appearing on one prospective track listing for the album which also included "Nowhere To Run." It is not clear what level the KISS recording reached on the song and whether a full version was recorded for the album, or simply demoed in some form. This song has nothing to do with the Gene Simmons song of the same title.

Exciter - While Rick Derringer played the guitar solo on this track on the "Lick It Up" album rehearsals really don't indicate Vinnie doing anything drastically different. According to Vinnie, "I don't think Gene and Paul liked what I played on the song, and I did... I loved it. I thought that it was one of my best pieces and for some reason that angered me quite a bit. Because I wasn't told about it until after it was done, but that is true. I liked what I played better, than what ended up on that song. I think Rick's a great player by the way" (Strike #38). This song was performed live during the "Lick It Up" tour giving Vinnie the opportunity to play the solo his way.

G
Gimme More - Written by Paul and Vinnie, this speed-demon rocker was used as the B-side of the "All Hell's Breakin' Loose" single in Japan and performed live during the "Lick It Up" tour. I Love It Loud - One of the earliest songs Gene Simmons and Vinnie Vincent worked on, during the "Creatures of the Night" sessions, this KISS anthem was based on an earlier Vinnie song idea called "Loud And Proud." The song developed around the chant that Gene had come up with. Gene had the song fade-out and fade-in at the end as a tribute to his favorite songs, "Good Lovin'" (Young Rascals) and "Do You Love Me" (The Contours), which had done the same.
I Still Love You - Vinnie and Paul's early writing effort for "Creatures of the Night" was initially referred to as "Still In Love With You." According to Vinnie, "Paul Stanley was more on the commercial side of the spectrum. He had a smooth polished thing going. When he and I wrote together we wrote the songs that made Kiss respected on a wider basis" (Guitar Magazine, 5/87).
I Think I Am In Love - Alternative title for "Think It's Love" from the "Treasure" album, the song was introduced live during 1977/8 with this title. Written by Cavaliere.
I Wanna Love You - Song from the "Treasure" album that was issued as an edit single. It was also one of 5 songs on the original "Treasure" demo. Written by Cavaliere.
I'm In Love - Apart from being a Warrior demo, this song would be demoed by KISS (along with other Vinnie material) during the "Lick It Up" recording sessions according to Vinnie.
In The Midnight Hour - Rascals song performed by Felix Cavaliere's Treasure live in 1977/8 with Vinnie on lead guitar.

Killer - According to Vinnie, "What Gene and I were able to conceive on the attitude end also needed the polish to make the whole thing work just right" (Guitar Magazine, 5/87). Gene and Vinnie were writing this song while the band were recording the "Creatures of the Night" album. According to Vinnie, "I came up with the idea. Gene added some good stuff to it and the song just grew" (Strike #38).
L
Lick It Up - A song that very nearly wasn't realized. Vinnie came up with the basic idea for the song, including the title and basic melody, and brought it to Paul. Unfortunately, Paul seemed disinterested in the idea when Vinnie first played it for him. Later Vinnie took the song to Gene, who liked it and suggested that he play it for Paul. According to Vinnie, "The next time I played it for Paul he said 'hey, that's great. We should use it'" (Strike #38). The song was released as the lead-off single in support of the album.
Love Is The First Day Of Spring - Song from Felix Cavaliere's 1979 album, "Castles in the Air," on which Vinnie played guitar. Written by Cavaliere/Brigati.
Love Me Tonite - Song from the "Treasure" album and one of 5 songs on the original "Treasure" demo. Written by Cavaliere.

N
Not For The Innocent - First demoed in August 1982 at the end of the "Creatures of the Night" sessions the song underwent substantial transformation for its inclusion on "Lick It Up" the following year. The demo has strong similarities with the "Creatures Of The Night" style, with a somewhat brutal vocal delivery by Paul. While Gene sang some of the verses, Paul handled the majority of the song. Vinnie provided a very 1982-Vinnie-like guitar solo that lasts 25 seconds. This song would be used as the B-side to the "Lick It Up" single in several international markets in 1983.
O
On The Run - A song by Rik Fox's SIN, produced by Dana Strum, alleged to have been ripped-off for "Let Freedom Rock." However, while there are definately similarities musically, VVI's song is far more developed and polished.
P

Young And Wasted - Written by Gene and Vinnie, many fans identify this song more with Eric Carr who sang it during concerts. The song was the B-side on the "All Hell's Breakin' Loose" single in the United States. Gene had originally written the "Like A Moth To A Flame" as one of interest to develop as a song or line in early 1982 before Vinnie came into the picture.
